I have been invited to a “national Debate” on TV for tomorrow 18:30 local time. It’s about Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The title is:
“Development of ICTs in Mozambique”
=> This will be a national recorded TV debate – “called estado na Nacao” – the State of our Nation — I will take this opportunity mostly to showcase with few examples …of possible practical real-world application of the simple principles of Hybrid AI
no technical jargon — no technical rigor — just for ordinary citizen — to have some “insights from my simple example based explanation of what has changed ” low cost sensors, computational power, machine learning ” …and mention the important of “plans on what to do with that information” ….
I will take the chance to “talk about my experience” — moonshot projects — the education project, the water project
and then I will “briefly explain” – the simple principles of Hybrid AI – the combination of the recent technologies breakthroughs and advances in machine learning, low cost sensors, computing power – combined with the old-fashioned Rule-based AI –
I will give examples – “autonomous car”

I posit that, the latest advances and technological breakthroughs that allow machines to “learn” rather than be programmed to accomplish a task, to see, understand and smell and promising new-generation materials and structural shapes, pose an opportunity for “African exponential entrepreneurs” …
